Join Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Mu Lambda Chapter for a powerful storytelling experience where men and boys share original reflections on fatherhood and being fathered. Through honest, personal stories, participants explore the relationships, lessons, struggles, and triumphs that shape generations of men.
Whether you're a father, son, mentor, grandfather, uncle, or simply someone whose life has been shaped by a father figure, this event offers an opportunity to reflect, connect, and grow through the power of storytelling.
What is the Fatherhood Manologues?
Conceived in 2020, the Fatherhood Manologues brings men together to write and perform original stories inspired by their experiences of fatherhood and being fathered.
Each participant develops a personal narrative through a collaborative process of writing, rehearsal, and reflection. Along the way, the group builds community, shares wisdom, and learns from one another's experiences. The result is a moving performance that celebrates vulnerability, resilience, healing, and the enduring impact of fathers and father figures.
What to Expect:
- Original stories written and performed by men and boys
- Honest conversations about fatherhood, masculinity, and legacy
- Reflections on family, identity, healing, and hope
- Opportunities for connection across generations
- A welcoming environment for all members of the community
