Reflecting on Our Great Start to the 2023 – 2024 Fraternal Year

SML Director of Communications | Published on 11/21/2023

I cannot help but pause and consider all the things we have to be thankful for as we approach Thanksgiving. We started this year with a full head of steam due to the momentum of a very impactful Summer! With so many ongoing chapter-organized initiatives, it is easy to underestimate the broad impact that we’ve had as a group of purposeful and purpose-filled men!

As depicted in the visual, our impact during the first three months of this fraternal year has been far-reaching! Our activities highlight our strong commitment to our four national programs; we have taken advantage of other opportunities to serve our community; we have strengthened our brotherly bonds; and lastly, we have well-conducted the business of Alpha!

We, the members of our chapter, are very important men in our families, careers, and communities. Our call to lead extends beyond our great fraternity. Trust me, that reality is not lost on me! However, despite the pressure of leading well in your own personal ecosystems, you have found ways to contribute to the collective impact that we have had thus far! I am thankful for your efforts and contributions! Some have contributed time, some have contributed talent, and some have contributed their treasure! It all works together for the good of our Chapter as we endeavor to successfully accomplish the mission of our fraternity in Montgomery and Chester Counties, PA.

Our Chapter is indeed good soil, and the leadership team and I look forward to building on this early success as we go into the middle third of this fraternal year! I believe in you, I believe in our Chapter, and I believe in our fraternity’s ability to make a difference in Montgomery and Chester Counties, PA.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! I wish you a peaceful holiday and look forward to doing the work of Alpha with you throughout the remainder of this fraternal year!

Fraternally,

Brother Kewin Gales, Gamma Eta 1980
