POTTSTOWN — The makings of a small Memorial Day picnic will be provided free to needy families on Wednesday from the food pantry at Bethel Community Church of Pottstown.
The Rev. Vernon Ross, pastor, said there are 150 sets of black angus hamburgers (six to a box); hot dogs, buns, Bush's baked beans, ketchup and mustard.
Bethel Community Church of Pottstown is located at 575 N. Keim St. and the food will be distributed from 1 to 4 p.m.
The food distribution event is undertaken in partnership with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Mu Lambda Chapter.
